First things first. Follow now lives with us! I was able to get him from the SPCA. I don’t want to get into the how and why. Let’s just say the whole thing was insane. He’s been here for four days and he already is looking better. But he still only ways 7 lbs. Today he even let out a few meows. They were very deep, nothing like how Dizzy sounds. Dizzy has taken to hiding under our chest of drawers, though Dizzy and Follow haven’t yet met. Follow is under quarantine because of his respiratory infection.

I also went to look at house today. It needs A LOT of work. I really can see the potential in it though.

My DH is away for a conference all week for work. So I had to look at the house alone (with my mom and the realtor). I’m so anxious. I want the house but I don’t want to sign him up for work that he is not prepared to do. I guess I have to wait to see what he says. In the meantime I’ll continue to wander around the house and stalk it. (They got an alarm system because of me).

I finally finished some bags that were supposed to be done months ago. Two sisters bought bags from me to help me raise money for my Leukemia and Lymphoma Society campaign. I hope they like them.

I think I’ll make some more for the shop. So I’ll be updating by the fall. I’m working on some shirts and onesies for the little ones too. I’ll let you know when I do the update. And I leave you with this:

After swimming today I went to Target. I haven’t been there in a very long time just because I usually shop at the local shops but I was in desperate need of a swim cap. My hair is way too long not to use one. Anyway, while I was there I saw these really cute shirts with Mr. Happy on them for babies and they were made in the USA (I know that doesn’t guarantee a fair wage). They were super cute. Then I started looking around for other things I could get for my very cute nephew. I couldn’t believe how expensive all the plastic crap for babies is. I ended not getting anything for him at Target- I just can’t bring myself to shop there or buy plastic. I guess that’s good thing. But I am sending him Old Turtle, Frog and Toad, and The Bee Tree.

After seeing the expensive stuff there, I’m so happy that I love thrift stores. I have a collection of baby blankets now (I know I’m crazy and I don’t actually have a baby). San Juan loves the yellow, turquoise and white zig-zag one. I should probably buy less stuff but they’re all hand-knitted and the first one I ever bought was 50 cents. I think when I actually have children most of their stuff will be thrifted, I mean, they grow so darn fast. I also have a Pyrex obsession.

I also don’t have enough space in my kitchen for yrex. I actually have it piled up everywhere. I have three sets of Pyrex nesting bowl not pictured too.

And earlier this week Dizzy thought he should help vacuum. But he couldn’t figure it out. And he’s scared of the vacuum when it’s on.
